The most commonly encountered contaminants for both domestic and industrial waste water are insoluble impurities and mineral spots. If they get onto further treatment facilities, they may provoke clogging of tubes and channels and impact on their operation efficiency.

For this reason ICB Group gives particular emphasis on waste water mechanical treatment – screening plants for rough (10.0 – 30.0 mm space) and fine (0.05 – 6.0 mm space) treatment, grit-removal plants, etc.

ICB Group’s specialists use in their technical solutions different types of screens, depending on waste water origin.

Rack screens are high-capacity screens and are used for waste water mechanical treatment from gross impurities with the size of 6.0 mm and more, and from small impurities. The screen space varies from 2.0 mm to 50.0 mm. Cleaning of rack screens is carried out automatically.


Drum screens are used in technical procedures of treatment of domestic and industrial waste water. They have a wide spectrum in terms of capacity (20.0 – 500.0 m3/hour), and screen space (0.5 – 5.0 mm). At the same time, power consumption is 0.75 – 2.2 kW. All screens are made of stainless steel. 


A special feature of drum screens is that they are the most economic at new-building waste treatment plants, as their installation usually requires a larger channel than the existing one. Size of a screen’s drum varies from 500.0 to 2000.0 mm. 


For treatment of waste water containing mineral spots and oils, we use combined units of mechanical treatment: a fine screen combined with an aerated save-all. This solution makes it possible to reduce installation costs as the equipment is modular and can be easily installed on the designated area.  Discharge of mineral and oil spots is carried out automatically. All save-alls are made of stainless steel.

If there are grit-removal plants made of reinforced concrete, ICB Group’s specialists will do their reconstruction with the use of advanced technologies.


Arc screens have screen spaces from 0.05 to 2.0 mm and in most cases do not need electric power as they do not have any moving and/or rotating parts. Screens can be cleaned either automatically or hydraulically by means of sprayers. Screenings are discharged under the action of their own gravity.  All screens are made of stainless steel. 


Drum percolators have screen spaces from 0.5 to 5.0 mm. Percolators are cleaned hydraulically by means of sprayers. Screenings are discharged by means of a screw through the discharger.



Disk filters are used for microfine waste water advanced treatment to remove suspended substances.  The size of disk filters’ pores reaches 10.0 mkm.
